May 20, 2005 By: Sunny Thaver Home Architecture Books An Interesting ReadArchitectural house books for some people are as boring as watching paint dry, but for other people who are students of architecture, these books are very interesting and educational at the same time as they tell the history of cities and homes that have been built over the last several centuries. Home architecture books focus on the construction and design of homes that provide unique contributions to our society with their designs and decoration. Many houses have been built over the years and they represent time in our society of surplus resources and at other times when our economy was not as strong. There are the rich and famous, who build homes with a particular flare and decorate them accordingly. A good home architecture book will cover all of these home architecture designs and trends. From the narrow three story homes in Amsterdam were the furniture must be raised by crane on the outside of the house to get it into the house to the massive mansions that have been built by various rich developers across the country. One of the more famous homes is the house or should we say castle built by Randolph Hearst at San Simeon in California. This home built on top of a small mountain, overlooking the sea represents the extremes that some people will go to in building architectural homes for the rich. Taking several years to build, the home boasts an indoor pool as well as an outdoor pool and a massive dining room table that easily seats fifty people. This castle and home to Mr Hearst has been in numerous architectural books and reviewed many times for its unique home design. Even the three guest house that are on the grounds have found their way into many architectural books. Also see; home floor plans.About
