Over the next two years Meredith will publish a series of HGTV branded books focusing on the areas of home design and decor, landscaping, and gardening. Each book will use HGTV's familiar before and after approach to design and instructions for readers on how to apply the information to meet their own home styles and challenges. The first of the four books, titled HGTV Before and After Decorating, will be released in the fall of 2003 and is filled with amazing transformations for every room in a home. Readers will find simple, easy to use techniques for everything from surprising strategies on rearranging furniture to changing room surface treatments to dozens of ways to find storage solutions or creating inspiring room presentations. In the spring of 2004, the second in the series, HGTV Landscaping: Projects for Your Dream Yard, will be released. This book will draw on the expertise of HGTV personalities to reveal simple tips and techniques for homeowners to address many of their universal landscape needs such as creating privacy or improving curb appeal or enhancing their view.
