September 03, 2003 By: Mark Harris Pre-Fab Cedar Home – Town & Country Cedar HomesWhite cedar craftsmanship in a system built home, a log and timber home industry first, was announced recently by two of the country’s leading builders. Melding of their cultures was disclosed by Town & Country Cedar Homes, the premier builder of white cedar log and timber crafted homes in the country, and All American Homes, LLC, one of the nation’s largest manufacturers of systems built homes, and a division of Coachmen Industries, Inc. “It was a logical association,” notes Craig Andrews, Town & Country president, explaining that for years literally 90 percent of visitors to company models couldn’t afford them. Now they can, asserts Andrews, while acknowledging that the move to enter the system built market is a dramatic step for a company with a 57 year tradition of crafting custom wood homes----and recognized by Neiman Marcus as builder of America’s finest wood homes. “But the time had come for us to broaden our market,” he explains. “And the Cedars’ line gives us a price range of homes from $175,000 to $275,000, which dovetails nicely with the $350,000 to multimillion family of homes we’re noted for.” Long recognized as one of the finest building materials in the world, white cedar will be used in Ameri-Log Homes, a special series of homes created by All American Homes. A variety of floor plans feature vaulted two-story entryways, stone fireplaces, catwalks and stairs. Optional finishes include logs, drywall or plaster. Exteriors evince the authentic log home heritage: cozy, snug, highly livable, and most importantly---affordable. Also see; luxury home plans.About
